Just read something amazing (if that’s a good thing or not) on Techcrunch: $100 Million Valuation For Geni. Geni.com is a website to gather your family data and build a family tree out of it. Looks interesting and it’s very easy to use – two important factors in creating a viral product (not forgetting the social side of it).
There are interesting comments and data to back up that it might not pick up just as anticipated, like this web statistics graph from Alexaholic shows. However, despite my sceptical approach I wish them the best of luck – there’s a still money to be made in geneology and ideas to be capitalised.
