New blog

I’ve decided to start a new blog to compose and gather my thoughts on web communities. The approach is multifold and thus it’s more of an open sketch book for my thoughts and ideas on empowering the masses and capitalising on web communities (this pretty much derives from my job).

This does not mean that I will stop writing here, as the separation has been made to clarify things to the readers and myself. I hereby give you IdeaVirus.

Comments welcome :)

Being more effective, more productive

Todo list -program

Wow - this is pretty excellent. A free program to manage your todo-lists and tasks - ToDoList. It’s quite extensive so it handles larger projects just as easily. I’m definitely changing my Moleskine back to what I used it originally for - brain storming and an archive for ideas and taking ToDoList into active use.

Loving it already.

Pandora + LastFM = PandoraFM

I wrote about it in 2005 and now it’s true: PandoraFM.

Customer service gone shockingly right

Sometimes customer service just works. Read this entry on Nintendo Wii customer service in the US.

Check this out - a very innovative and viral press release.

Helsinki Motorcycle Fair 2007

Helsinki Motorcycle Fair 2007Went to the much awaited Helsinki motorcycle fair today. It was a blast even though I only spent a few hours there. The organisers expect about 65 000 people to attend the fair - which is quite a lot for a 3 day fair.

Lot’s of nice bikes though. I took a look at the GPS navigator I want to get myself for the coming European trip I previously blogged about. Anyhow, have a look at the fair for yourself from the photos I took - about 50 of them over here.

GPS Motorcycle diaries

I haven’t been able to get too much sleep this week as I’ve been spending my time with Google Earth v4. I’ve been intrigued with it as it renderes the topology of the landscape as well as cool new features that make sharing information a lot more easier.

With this in mind I’ve been planning my summer’s motorcycle trip that I’ve been planning to do sometime in July. My destination at the moment simply put is Europe. I want to see the green fields of Switzerland and ride on the curvy roads of the Alps and taste some German beers in southern Germany. Something like that anyhow.

Being the extrovert marketing geek that I am, I’ve sort of decided to start a blog/website to keep myself notes of the trip and planning that takes place. Furthermore, I’ve been drooling over some Garmin GPS devices that would be extremely cool while riding in Europe (and make the whole trip a lot more easier navigation-wise). And, I would be able to post my trip online in Google Earth format afterwards…

Hmm… I think I’ll attend the motorcycle exhibition first and start further planning afterwards :)
