That being blogging from our m??kki (summer cottage) in Punkaharju. The local telephone monopoly finally managed to create a wireless connection available to most summer cottages in the beautiful Punkaharju area. I won’t go into how much I praise wireless technologies and being connected to the internet when you want to (that doesn’t mean you have to be connected all the time, but having the option to do so).

Savonlinna isn’t doing all that well economically, but bringing small improvements to the municipal infrastructure is a thing that makes the whole county a lot more attractive to outsiders – be it tourists, people living in Savonlinna during summers or just new citizens. Furthermore, these sort of things out to raise the price of summer cottages in this area so it isn’t all that bad for people owning cottages already.

Enough m??blogging – time to go to sauna.
